The bungee is well built and I haven't had any problems with the ones I've used so far. The hook ends of large bungee hooks are not metal but appear to be high quality plastic. The cords have good stretch and appear to be quite strong. Not sure what I'm going to use the net for, but it's great for securing things to the back of a motorcycle seat. While they're completely independent of using bungee cords (an odd addition to the set, actually), tarp clips come in handy for tarps that have the eyes ripped out, or tarps without grommets where you need them.
