Works quite well as a sole filtration solution for fountains
Over the years I have used a variety of Pentek filters in my fountains. This year I decided to try the carbon block filters, although I did notice a change in the taste of the water, I also noticed a significant drop in pressure fairly early in the life of the filters. Until I tried this one. My fountain has quite a lot of deposits, mostly rust and small particles. This filter held up about as well as the regular sediment cartridges I used. Of course, YMMV depends on how you're doing and what you're struggling with. I've looped two of them so far with no issues.
