Review on ๐Ÿ‘พ AMVR VR Mask Silicone Protective Cover & Front/Rear Foam Set for Oculus Rift S Headset - Sweatproof, Waterproof, Anti-Dirty | Black by Chris Hossain

First Impression: Accessories

I haven't tried silicon in gaming yet, but my first impression is that it's not a reliable solution. I just received the product in the mail. The packaging was very minimal, it was a ziploc bag with bits of silicone inside. To put them on your Oculus headset, you first need to remove the plastic pieces with the foam attached and it will come out of them. The parts are oddly proportioned, making it difficult to get silicone around all the clamps without slipping. Take them off (it's like putting thick sheets on a bed and when you put one corner on top of the other the zipper opens). After putting on the headset for a quick palpation, I noticed that the nose separation was much larger. If you have an original Oculus, it looks a lot like this nose gap, big enough to use as a passageway. Pros: - Looks clean (and a bit shabby, but cleaner than dilapidated. It's like a supercar but the body panels are a little off.) - I can already say this will help with the sweat problem I was having. - Feel pretty comfortable compared to foam padding. but I wasn't sure how to remove the plastic properly.) - The guide is useless, it explains the self-explanatory part of installing the silicone on the headset but doesn't explain how to detach the original plastic from the headset. Current Thoughts: The products appear to serve their purpose and look good, however there are issues I am currently having that bring my rating to 3 stars. So I think the product is worth the money. It's not a good deal, but it's not terrible either. This is just an out of the box review that I'll be editing after I've had a few good gaming sessions to update my thoughts on the product. EDIT: After some in-game testing, I can say they're doing their job right, but since the face piece doesn't snap into place, it shifts when you put it on, which is VERY annoying. This prevents sweat from being absorbed, which is better than before.
