Review on Chrome Moen 226 Donner Toilet Paper Holder Roller: A Reliable Bathroom Accessory by David Plunkett

After reading other reviews I expected it to be cheap. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Yes it is plastic but they say so. It wasn't a surprise. What surprised me is how beautifully designed it is. My old toilet roll holder came in three pieces and kept falling apart when I had to change the roll. I would have to reset the spring and try to put the parts together, put the reel on and then put the holder + reel back into the rack while still holding the parts together so they don't bounce. It's probably two parts, but connected in a way that keeps them together. In addition, plastic is not such a thin and cheap material that begins to break down over time. (Yes, I had one too.) Bottom line: quality stuff if you're on a budget. I expect this to last a long time. And now every time I switch roles it's just a pleasure.
