After 15 months of use, the device no longer switches off, even after cleaning.
Royal is not liable for an expensive device that lasted a little longer than the warranty period. Recently, it started working continuously after inserting paper into the slot. It restarts when we unplug it and plug it back in, only to do the same thing over and over again. We have cleaned the shredder and fully tested it. Nothing interferes with the operation of the sensors. The 1840MX is NOT worth the price. Our shredders, even Royal, have always lasted much longer. Exceptionally disappointed. The lack of response to an online query and incompetent phone support only add to the frustration.
