Is this the best quality shoe rack? Not even close. The side pipes are plastic, as are the connectors, and the shelves are made of a material somewhere between paper and cheap cotton.Was it a breeze to assemble? Not remotely. It took me between 30 and 45 minutes to press and shove this ill-fitting shelving unit into a semblance of something usable.Can it hold 24 to 30 pairs of shoes? If you use the top rack and have a few pair that you want to squash into the side pockets that are super shallow and can barely hold shoes, then yes.Do I wish I had spent a little more to get something sturdier and nicer looking? Emphatically, yes. But I’ve invested too much time into this thing, and for better or worse, it’s now a part of my home.On the plus side: they include extras of every part, which I appreciated. That’s about the only nice thing I can think to say about this rack.
