Serves as both a wide angle lens and a macro lens. The mechanical quality is excellent. How it works is simple. As far as I can tell, it takes excellent macro shots with a working distance of less than an inch. Gives razor-sharp images. 100% autofocus when attached to an 18-55mm lens. I haven't tried it with a telephoto lens yet. To be honest, at this price point there is absolutely no reason not to have this attachment in your collection. Don't be fooled by the design, it can capture both macro and wide-angle shots. Wide angle gives about 25% increase. No complaints.
