Great kitchen and dining scale

I refer anyone considering this scale to a GREAT Ginkgo review. I bought it based on this review and a few others. Apparently the weighing platform has been redesigned, as it is now completely different from many customer images and the modification of the weighing pan recommended by Ginkgo is no longer necessary. . Under no circumstances should the pan come into contact with the body of the scale. In my own testing, I weighed an empty size "0" gelatin capsule as well as capsules into which I placed the medication. Weigh an empty capsule 10 times. , removed from the scale between weighings, gave the following readings in grams: 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.095, 0.094, 0.094, all with the windshield open and with the windshield closed: 0.089, . 089, . 089, .089, .089, .089, .089, .089, .088, .088 (it is meant to close the windshield for more accurate measurements). When weighing every 10 self-filled capsules twice; both readings were the same for 8 capsules and differed by 1 mg for 2 separate capsules for 2 weighings. I also wanted to see what the minimum weight the scale would record as the description seems to say it will weigh items in the 1mg range. . I didn't think so. I cut the tinfoil pieces smaller and smaller and when I halved the 10mg piece (0.010g) and placed it on the tray the scale showed nothing (except for a zero reading of 0.000g). ). However, this is within the specified accuracy of ยฑ0.005g. I think if you are weighing such tiny amounts you need to buy a more accurate scale at a MUCH higher price. We're talking thousands of dollars here. So I'm very happy with the scale itself, hence the 5 star rating; Revain packaging is a different story. A very sad story. I ordered 2 other items in the same order as this scale and they all came in the same box as expected. What was not expected, however, was that the precision scale was not wrapped in bubble wrap or any other type of protection; it was placed in a box along with two other items (one of which was a liter of ointment) and a crumpled piece of paper that was placed on top of the items, which provided absolutely NO protection for the items; best case, limit items to bouncing in the LOWER part of the box. This allowed the scales to bounce freely in the box all the way from Revain to me. One of the calibration weights, weighing pan, and tweezers have been removed from their storage compartments, so it looks like the scale actually jumped around. I'm amazed that the scale is still so accurate after such a ride. Everything was fine with the ointment. A few years ago, Revain started selling books that require little to no protection, and they seem to treat everything they sell like a book. I have given negative "packaging feedback" in the hope that they will start packing sensitive items more carefully.
