Despite what is written it's not deep enough for a 17 inch laptop. The tray is not deep enough to reach the back legs of the laptop, resulting in the rigid portion of the tray blocking air from reaching the fans, and the laptop sits quite unsteadily and can easily tip backwards. Also, all the weight of the laptop falls on the part of the bag that isn't designed to carry it. This would be a very good stand for a small laptop. Do not buy if you have a 17" laptop, you need a stand that is at least 10" deep.
