Exactly as shown; surprisingly soft - not prickly - wonderfully sheer and flowing; the lines of text and map are soft, not crystal clear due to the nature of the fabric, but clear enough to be read; You can hang it on the wall, but note that the fabric is translucent so you can see what's behind. The only thing I would mention is the size - for tall women like mine it's big enough to wear as a cape but not big enough to wrap comfortably around you. Like most scarves/cloaks they are the same size. Overall great and I'm glad I bought it. I'll hang it on a chair in my little library.
