Review on 🎧 KabelDirekt - 25ft 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Audio Extension Cable - Pro Series by Jim Cronin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Completely satisfied.

Please note I only have this cable for one day. That's my first impression. Why did I buy this cable? Simply put, I needed an extension cord to connect my computer to the bed so I could put a second monitor next to the bed and use my computer there. I don't like disturbing others with my conversations, so I use headphones. My initial intention was to just buy a cable that was long enough, worked, and was inexpensive. After a quick look at what Revain had in stock, I was ready to buy a long enough cable for about $4 including shipping. Then I had other thoughts. I was willing to accept a cable that wouldn't last long (most headphone cables generally don't). I wasn't willing to accept a cable that was seriously faulty or didn't work right away. Unfortunately, not all 3.5mm forks are created equal these days, and you can easily end up with a fork that doesn't hold up well enough at all to handle any movement at all. That is, you plug in the headphones and the first time you move them, the plug pops out or you hear noise due to a sloppy connection. So I did NOT want to spend money on a cable that would last a few days and then not perform the primary function that I intended. I don't like returning things I bought online. Especially things that don't cost much. It's just annoying. After some browsing and reading probably more reviews than I care to read about headphone cables I found this. To be honest I've never heard of this company but they had a lot of rave reviews (for the price) and the photos show the cable is well made. Again, every headphone cable I've ever had broke sooner or later. It seems to be a 2-3 year question. Usually, the stresses become stiff near the points near the plug and eventually the conductors inside break. That's why you should never buy an expensive headphone that doesn't come with a cable that's easy to swap out. I don't care how much you paid for the headphones. This cable will likely break at some point. It's just their nature. With that in mind, my goals here were as follows. To avoid paying too much for a cable that will be abused and likely to break after a few years. 2. To get reasonable quality for money.3. Nothing to buy that didn't fit right away. This cable meets all of these requirements. As soon as I unpacked it, I saw that the quality is very good for the price. I examined it and checked how flexible the shell is and how reliable the connections are. One of the key characteristics of a poorly made cable (in my experience) is a thin cable with a relatively rigid jacket that will buckle the first time it is bent too far. This cable feels thicker than most cheap cables and its jacket is very nice and stretchy. For a 25 foot cord, this thing doesn't get tangled as easily as you might expect. Never wrong. Anyway, after looking at it, I really had no doubt that it would have a nice, snug, and secure fit when powered up, and that's exactly what happened. As for the sound quality? I'm not an audiophile. To my ears, the sound quality in the AKG K240 headphones was identical. I don't hear any hissing or interference or anything that shouldn't be there. This is more than sufficient for normal use. And I mean, I mostly watch videos on Youtube, so this isn't going to push things into territory where subtle differences might even be noticeable. Conclusion - I am satisfied. Nobody likes nasty surprises when buying things online and I didn't have any with this product. To be honest I think if this cable cost twice as much I couldn't find anything bad about it other than wish it didn't cost that much to get a reasonably decent product. I doubt you can find anything that good locally for this price. I haven't actually tried it, but I've paid $30 for very basic cables at places like Best Buy in the past. If this cable lasts 3 years I'll be happy. I'll probably buy another one if/when it breaks. Again, the fact that it will likely end up being that isn't really a downside at this price point.
