The first thing I did when I received my original Huawei Watch in early 2016 was to replace the ugly strap with something else. I wanted something wide like 22mm instead of 18mm because I think it looks more masculine if it's wider. I ordered a 22mm dark brown Berfine and made small cuts on the ends where it attaches to the watch to fit the 18mm hole. It worked and looked great. (You can see how it looks in the enlarged image of the black Berfine strap). About a year goes by and one day while replacing the brakes in a watch car (stupid, I know) I got a big cut mark on the watch strap. The strap still worked but I didn't like the markings so I bought a 22mm tan strap to replace it. I've been using a tan watch strap for 2 years and finally the loop of the strap has worn down to the point that there is no leather left on one of the corners (you can see it in the photo). The band has been absolutely fantastic so far. It looks old and weathered and has a lot of character. However, I cannot wear a bracelet that dangles from me, and watch straps are very expensive. So I reluctantly decided to buy another band. I've searched a lot to see if there are other bands I'd like to try. My search is limited because I can't get a strap with quick release pins because I need to cut the strap to make it narrower and this process will cut the quick release part of the strap and significantly reduce its lifespan. Well after a long search I returned to Berfine and decided to try the black strap. It gives the watch a completely different look and is made with the same quality as the previous straps. I'm curious to see how he looks when he gets older. Important note on color. The streaks will darken over time as you would expect from real leather. You will see that the heaviest darkening occurs in the first 2 months or so. If you want dark brown, consider light brown as it will darken over time. The dark brown stripe becomes very dark brown, almost black. Both shades of brown are beautiful, but consider going darker when making your purchasing decision. An important note on landing. It stretches and conforms to your hand. I suggest using a hole that may seem too tight at first, but after a short time (several weeks) it fits perfectly. I may update this review in a few years to show what the black bar looks like and report wear and tear. . I am afraid that the watch will give up even before the current watch strap as the battery is slowly draining. I think it will be about a year before I take it apart and replace the battery or buy something new. I hope this helps those looking for a new watch strap with their decision.
