Looking for loose threads but 5⭐ for customer service

I expect some loose hairs or threads from new brushes. Unfortunately, the fact that my recently purchased artificial cat tongue squirrel fell off 3/4 of the way leads me to suspect that there must have been a mistake with the glue used to secure the threads in the ferrule. I was happy with the nib, point of detail and water absorption of the brush until the filaments started falling out. The other 5 brushes in the set don't seem to have the same issue, but I'll look for more random strands. I have the Silver Brush Black Velvet 3/4 oval watercolor brush, which I am very happy with. The black velvet oval is a mix of real squirrel hair and synthetic, so it's not as springy as the fully synthetic brush I was looking for when I bought this set, but I guess I'll just have to make it work. -- EDIT -- After posting the first part of this review, I was quickly contacted by a representative from Zen Art and said it was an issue in a very small percentage of their product that they were aware of. I was offered the option of a full refund or replacement without having to return the brushes. I have decided to send it back. I was then contacted again by a separate representative for further action. I informed them that I had already received a refund but was interested in replacing the cat tongue. They then sent me a completely new set for free. Of the 12 Zen Art brushes I currently have, only the first cat's tongue has a problem with loose threads. Dealing with a company that cares about its customers and not just profits is a breath of fresh air.
