I liked this toothpaste but I didn't like it!

I've never been loyal to any brand of toothpaste, I only buy what's on sale. After 30 years I decided to grow up and try to shop responsibly by focusing on pure ingredients and/or brand integrity. I bought this toothpaste because the ingredient list looked great. I liked it as soon as I started using it. It was fresh and had a minty flavor with an unexpected hint of liquorice that wasn't unpleasant. Within a month or two of using this toothpaste exclusively, I noticed the corners of my mouth were drying out and turning a surprisingly light tan. It was annoyingly noticeable since I'm pale. The dark skin started at the corners of my mouth and then fell off in an unfortunate way that always made me scowl. In addition to dry, discolored skin, my teeth have become very sensitive. I couldn't tell if it was a reaction to temperature (very hot or cold food, or cold winter air on my teeth) or if the pain was a reaction to the acidity of my food. Since I bought 2 packs of this toothpaste, I lasted 3 months from date of purchase. I blamed many factors, including new skincare, but eventually I broke down and bought a different toothpaste just to see if it would help. The sensitivity of my teeth has almost completely disappeared after 2-3 uses of a new brand of toothpaste. Tooth sensitivity sometimes still bothers me a month after I've given up the Ayurvedic paste, but at least it's not a daily pain that's felt whether I eat or not. Dry, discolored skin took longer to improve but definitely looks a lot better. I can only assume that the Ayurveda paste contained an ingredient or combination of ingredients that I didn't like. I am sure that this is an individual reaction and that it is not the case for a great many people. My advice is this: try the toothpaste yourself, but watch out for any unwanted reactions so you can stop using it immediately if necessary. Also, do not use this new toothpaste at the same time as other new products. It took me a while to realize that the Ayurvedic paste was responsible for my skin reaction because the reaction didn't appear until about a month after starting using the paste and because it coincided with my use of a new facial and facial cleanser. Lotion which I mistakenly thought might be the cause of skin dryness and discoloration.
