Bought for my Hampton Bay ceiling fan, the description says it's smaller than other remotes and in fact it is smaller , but then again on the other hand it's relatively thicker than the Hampton Bay consoles. Had to return it because it doesn't fit my Hampton Bay fan which is hung on a disc instead of a bracket and the cavity is thick enough to fit the Hampton Bay remotes I had to buy from Home Depot. They're longer than this device but quite thinner so they fit well. Gave 4 stars because there is nothing wrong with it, but it may not fit universally as the description claims. One thing similar to Amazon Prime is the free returns.
