A bottle of Cactaki is a good mid-range option. Considering the price, I'm hoping this will last at least a year or two (an update will follow if anything happens). Pros: Timestamps on the side are fun to remind you of throughout the day. The mouthpiece isn't too big or too small, so the flow is good for small or large sips. And with an airflow hole, you won't hear a "whistle". They also included extra plastic pieces that plug into the bottle and go up to seal the water (love having a spare for problems 'just in case'). The plastic used for the band is strong yet flexible enough that I can remove it for my first wash without getting the band wet. There is also a small zipper on the lid to keep the lid from coming off. I can finally open it with one hand, which is very handy on the treadmill. Cons: The bottle "sweats" with colder water. Use the stand on wooden tables! The small air hole on the mouthpiece seems to fill up with water when I tilt the bottle up. I didn't get wet, but I expect that when I take an occasional sip. ** Updated 11/21/18. A scam has been discovered that is worth complaining about but worth mentioning. The timeline and the mouthpiece are opposite. So if it's on your table next to you and the schedule is facing you, you'll have to turn it over to drink from it. UPDATE: 01/16/20 - I keep getting water dripping from the vent. I'm not a cautious sip and my prediction was correct. I often pour water on my face. It's not a problem for me, just a fun bad habit that others should be aware of. I bought a bottle for my friend and one for myself, neither of us have had any problems so far. He thinks it's funny that he has time markers. ** Updated 11/21/18. We both still use our bottles daily and they seem to be fine :) **UPDATE 01/16/20. We still use these bottles, the band is very stiff. dress and undress, and I'm lazy and took mine completely off. When we washed the bottles we found afterwards that if you don't put the strap holder back under the lip the bottle leaks and it took us a week to figure out what was going on. Still using it, still happy, no discoloration, no odors and no lost parts. :)
