It was a lifesaver!

Before his 2nd birthday, our little one went from a sweet sleep to a nocturnal awakening. We're not sure what he was worried about, but he did figure out how to get out of his crib, even though we had a mattress on the floor and he fell pretty hard outside. After this happened two nights in a row we decided it might be time for a crib. Unfortunately we couldn't get him to stay in the cradle. Every night he woke up, went out and tried to get to us. We tried the "take him back" method, which proved futile, and also "locked" him in a room hoping that eventually he would give up and go back to his bed. But he fell asleep by the door for the rest of the night. We tested it for a whole month with no improvements. Meanwhile, he was becoming increasingly difficult with his nightly routine and also had trouble sleeping. A friend recommended a crib tent and we thought it might be worth a try. The second night he slept the whole night again without waking up! Within a week he returned to his usual nocturnal routine and went back to sleep without complaint. We feel like we're finally alive again! I don't know what we would do without it. We had no problem with our little one opening or tearing open the crib tent. In fact, he seems to enjoy sleeping in it (I was afraid he'd feel like he was in a cage, but that doesn't seem to be the case). In fact, sometimes we forget to zip up, but he still doesn't try to get out of his crib. I highly recommend this item for babies who are too small for a crib but are just beginning to crawl out of their crib.
