They are much better than most disposable spoons. From a distance they look like real silverware, but even up close they have a charming, attractive metallic look. We've used them for cake, ice cream, hot soup, you name it. The only thing I wouldn't recommend them for is cooking bacon (yes, I tried that crap for about 2 minutes!) because they can melt and warp easily if you cook with them and use high heat in them Contact come too long temperature. Otherwise they are very durable and I have never had a single break or melt under normal prescribed use.
