The Pro8mm Universal Film Kit is a great idea, offering Super 8 film, processing, digital transfer and prepaid shipping all in one price. . Couldn't be easier. However, the amount of dirt/dust/grime on the negative caused by the digital transfer is unacceptable. When I was working with 35mm film labs here in Los Angeles, when we got a print like this, we would send the negative back to be washed and reprinted again. If Pro8mm sends back my negative I can send it to another lab for the same. That may have been an isolated case, the next litter will show me that for sure. Otherwise, this is the easiest way to shoot/process/transfer 8mm film.
