I live on a steady income so it was difficult for me to afford this purchase. After six months of saving, I was finally able to scrape together enough money to place an order. I was told delivery would take at least seven days. It took three. I was understandably excited, but I took the time to do something I had never done in my entire life - I read and followed the instructions. Imagine my terrible disappointment when it didn't work. Only about a quarter of the beans I put in came out and the ones that came out tasted buttery and were chewy. I called the company. The girl I spoke to was knowledgeable and very pleasant. However, it took over three weeks of frustration and troubleshooting on the phone, including an unnecessary kettle change, to get it working. I finally remembered a review where a reviewer had turned the thermostat down and his car was running great. I went to YouTube, learned how to set the thermostat, and set mine about 40 degrees lower. My machine is now making an incredible amount of popcorn, hot, crispy and delicious. While it works well now, I can't in good conscience rate it as perfect. The company has encountered this issue in the past but was still so unaware that I had to fix it myself. In the end, the company's customer service proved to be excellent, but it still lasted over three weeks of frustration.
