The assembly instructions that come with the swing are minimal but to the point. Assembling the swing parts requires some fiddling and is definitely a two person job. We had to put in a little effort to connect the last two poles together. Also, there are rubber bumpers around the posts that have to be pushed aside to find the screw holes, which takes some effort. In general, assembly took 20-30 minutes. The swing ropes are height adjustable and everything feels stable. The swing frame twists a bit when pressure is applied, but this is not a safety issue. We purchased separate nylon straps to hang this swing from a branch.
