Review on 🚪 Brewster PF0713 Premium Privacy Film White Cut Floral Door, 35.25x78 Inch by Sander Savala

I think overall this is a great product. The floral design is beautiful without being overly distracting, and the deep embossing occasionally gives it a rainbow glittery prism effect when the light shines at certain angles, day or night. It lets in lots of light while offering an excellent level of privacy. There is a slight smell of vinyl during installation but I hope it fades. Installation was easy: cut to size, remove the clear backing, sprinkle water on the window, stick the film on the window, and use a mop to remove water and air bubbles. Note that when installed there is a tiny gap around the edges (to allow you to let the water/air out fairly easily) so someone might be able to look inside, but I think this is a minor issue. I took off a star because I've used a lot of different window films and compared to Artscape products (which are similarly priced) I don't think this item is that good. The backing is clear cellophane rather than a thicker coated paper like Artscape, which made it difficult to cut a straight line as the scissors tended to wiggle through the vinyl a bit. Brewster also doesn't include a tiny squeegee like Artscape (but they recommend using it for best results). Also, after a day, I observe an increase in one of the corners of the installed film, which I have not observed with other products. I'll try to get them to stay put again. However, the design is beautiful and overall I am happy with this purchase. Edited to add note 8/2015: This movie is really good! I recently moved part of the film to a new window and it could be peeled off and then reused with no problem. The corners always stayed a bit raised, so as I moved the window I resized it to a smaller size and cropped the edges - now it stays flat. I think the heavier vinyl smell is just part of this product, it's gone, but I still noticed it a bit upon installation (although I'm very sensitive to smells). Still happy with this design, it's cute and neutral.
