Review on 👜 Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Crossbody Handbag in Black - Women's Handbags & Wallets by Shawn Sanders

Nice bag with a few blemishes (some of which are unique to Travelon)

I'm a fan of this bag in general, but it does have a few blemishes. However, most of these are the same in almost all Travelon wallets, so I knew what to expect. The most important thing you need to know is that this wallet is only 2/3 of what you think it is. Based on the listed measurements, the wallet should have a volume of approximately 600 cubic inches. The actual external dimensions of the bag I received are 10 3/4" x 9 7/8" x 3 3/4" - 398 cubic inches. It's a fairly roomy bag though. It actually fits more than mine Michael Kors bag, that's 456 cubic inches - and I don't think it's just the outside pocket Before I get into other (minor) issues, here are a few things I care about: Bottle pocket with water is great though, the 500ml S'well bottle is a little difficult to fit - the elastic is almost too tight for that as the bag is only semi elastic, however the bottle fits quite comfortably in the bag itself, the bag itself and the bag fits super in its case for my sunglasses which I still have to grab more often and faster than my water bottle.huge) laptop bag.I prefer not to be able to use the overhang even on long trips but I don't want to carry a bag big enough , to my laptop, my charger advise and fit everything I need on a flight in it. This makes carrying my handbag inconvenient because I have to pack it somewhere and I don't want to unload and reload all my handbags every time I fly somewhere. So I usually pack my purse in a giant laptop bag. It can be 5 inches or so wide, wide for a laptop bag but too narrow for many wallets. This bag sits comfortably in and still has room for my laptop, chargers, sweater and a few other things I stuff into my bag. Use during flight. And when I emptied it, the bag would unpack and take up relatively little room in my suitcase. --- As mentioned above, it's surprisingly roomy for its size. It goes with everything I usually take with me when I travel, and even with my water bottle in the main compartment, there's probably still room for a small digital camera and a light sweater or jacket. this particular style: --- This is a deep N/S bag without many pockets. I find it difficult to fit all of my small to medium-sized items that I want to find quickly into accessible pockets, which results in me having to rummage through a lot of stuff at the bottom of my bag — and that's a low bagram. But that's an issue with most large wallets, and the depth is what you'd expect from an N/S bag. All of the following issues are fairly common with most Travelon bags: - Looks like a holdall. The fabric and style isn't very nice - not bad, but not great either. It looks like Baggalini fabric, maybe a little rougher. If you are looking for a really nice handbag check out Travelon's Tailored line but they only have 3 pockets this size or larger. (И, к вашему сведению, Tailored Hobo выглядит так, как будто он должен быть примерно такого размера, но он НАМНОГО меньше.) --- Молнии застегиваются сзади при ношении кросс-боди на правом боку (именно там я ношу его, как и almost always). all models in the photo of Travelon shoulder bags). This compromises security: zippers are often easier to open than lock, making it fairly easy to unlock the bag from the back where you can't see it, especially on a wider bag where the zippers are further behind you. --- All the Travelon bags I've tried, there is one bag where the D-ring is poorly placed and difficult to zip up. In this case it's the front pocket: I have to crumple the fabric of the pocket to close it. By placing it half a centimeter higher - even 3mm! - would solve the problem. --- It is not waterproof and does not dry quickly. I tried to remove the small stain by dabbing lightly with a damp paper towel and even that small amount of moisture seeped right into the lining. When I rinsed the bag about half of it got wet, which is what I was expecting by then. The problem was that it took about 24 hours to dry - even in the desert! (Yes, I've hung it up to dry too.) I'll be taking this bag to Germany and Poland between late September and early October, and before that I'll be sure to give the bag some sort of external treatment so it's waterproof. --- The straps are easy to rotate: on the one hand they are sewn to the bag, and on the side they rotate with a clip. If both sides were the same, everything would be fine; it sucks the way it is. ---Strap sewn on your handbag, you can't exchange it for another strap. So you can't solve any of the strap issues which are the most common issues I have with Travelon bags in general. The straps are too narrow to comfortably carry a heavier bag for long periods; They are not very thin but still need to be at least 50% wider or have a removable pad for more comfort. The straps are also made of a rough, scratchy fabric that is uncomfortable to wear on bare skin, especially since the strap is stiff. . Sure, the reinforced anti-theft fabric is a feature, but would they really kill them by covering it with a softer fabric? --- The straps are too long. At 5ft 5in (5ft 5in) and with the top of the bag just below my waist, I only undid the strap halfway, leaving the buckle uncomfortable on my shoulder. When I opened it all the way, the purse was hanging below my knees. Seriously, even WNBA players don't need a strap that long. Finally, one big wish list item, although not necessarily a downside: I really wish the Travelon wallets were in bolder colors...wine color is the lightest, but even that is a dark red. I never thought about it until recently, but now I consider it a security feature like lockable pockets: I had my wallet stolen off the hook at lunch a few months ago. I got it back before the thief left the door, partly because it was bright red and easy to spot when I looked around. with him, but when they do, the dark bag allows them to merge with him and walk with him. Overall, I love the holdall and knew what I was getting myself into when it came to the Travelon's design flaws. I can definitely recommend this bag to anyone who can live with that.
