I was not at all surprised when the sensor stopped reacting at -2 degrees, since I understood going in that there would inevitably be issues with it in the street during the winter. When I first started using the noise-cancelling headphones after getting married, I became suspicious because I could only hear sounds out of my right ear while holding the cup. Then I went to bed, convinced that either I was overworked or that this was just a quirk of the model. The next day, though, while listening to music on the metro, I was plagued by an unsettling sense that something was amiss with the headphones themselves—a sensation I had never experienced before when using wh2. As if the left cup's tunes were muddled or something. In order to concentrate, I silenced my music. The right ear cup did a great job of blocking out noise, however the left one allowed in some outside noise. Sent it back to the Sony service center, likening the issue to a broken ambient sound feature. The money was refunded a week later. There are too many jambs per square meter for that type of money, but I concluded that the second series has fewer issues, so I'll go buy it.
