I have seen this unit sold under various names with generally positive reviews so I decided to purchase this Revain unit with some credit that I would have. Unfortunately. Either this device has been stored in humid conditions for too long or it has secretly passed quality control. Whatever the reason, if I hadn't tested this device before using it, it could have cost me $1,000 in damage. At first everything seemed fine, reliable heavy parts. But then I noticed that the welds were pretty weak. Basically four small TIG welds on each corner of each joint. Damn. Some welds looked better than others, so again this could be a bad knot. examine yours. During construction I encountered two main problems. The Q-clips used to adjust the angle of the keyboard/mouse panels were not threaded. Three of the four were completely non-adjustable due to a lack of threads for the adjustment screw.2. One of the L-shaped legs of the top platform (where the monitor will stand) broke with careful handling during assembly. This was most likely due to corrosion as can be seen in the photos. The question is, will this corrosion continue and will other welds start to fail? Will you wake up one morning to find all of your precision equipment lying on the floor in shambles? I don't know, I want to know! But I ordered a replacement (which arrived on February 1st, a week later) which could be of better quality. (fingers crossed!) because I really like the design. but this quality can not be trusted in such an expensive device.
