The two service keys on the left side of my picture work great anywhere in my car, they lock, unlock the doors and start the car with no problems. on the right closes and opens, but does not turn the car over. Three pieces to the right of the key I bought. I still haven't found a locksmith that cuts the key so I put the new key electronics on the cut key that didn't crank the motor and now it does. This seems to contradict all the comments that only BMW can program keys as the cut key won't work until I add new electronics. Am I wrong? The dealer sells them new for $200, so I won't pay more than $100 for a cut.
