I did not know that the width of the tablecloth is less than standard tablecloths so only about an inch "hangs over" the long edges of the table. There really isn't a hang over to it because the fabric is stiff with a plastic like material which makes it water resistant, which is a nice feature for a tablecloth, but I was hoping it was pure linen. To keep the edges from fraying, it is cut with a scallop which was unusual- not bad. I will have to put a tablecloth under this one so that there's overhang all around.I'm not so unhappy that I'd send it back, but it wasn't what I was hoping it would be (100% linen without plastic was my hope)
