I have found that completely flat shoes cause more back pain if you have a bad back. These shoes have a slightly higher back, like tennis shoes, just what I needed. I can wear them on my feet and for walks all day and feel comfortable at the end of the day. I know they will last forever but that won't stop me from buying another pair next year, another pair the year after, etc. I also love the color I have, a red and cranberry combo.
