I use them on my Chromebook, my Imac and the side camera on my iPhone 6. They work fine on all three. I like that the red dot is subtle but clearly visible, making it easy to tell if it's open (my old eyes don't see black on black as well as they used to). I chose these because they were the narrowest I could find. It's narrow enough to fit on my Chromebook's thin frame without digging into the screen or preventing it from closing properly. You can change position if you do it quickly, but then they are safe enough. My phone goes in and out of my pockets without detaching (although it can open and close and rub my pockets). It's thin and small enough to be completely unobtrusive. I am perfectly happy with them.
