The container itself is thick and feels solid. This, combined with my very cold freezer, makes the ice cream cold and hard. The lid, which is advertised as silicone and tight, doesn't feel particularly tight on me. Sort of like moccasins after you've worn them for a bit. This may be because I put a layer of saran wrap on the container under the lid. Still, I think it will be full. There is of course no "click" action with it. Whatever the case, it can come loose if it collides with something else in the freezer. This is probably only relevant for those who pack their fridges in such a way that you have to lay the bin on its side to fit. However, by the time the lid comes off, there aren't any ice crystals, and I need to thaw it a bit to make it easier to scoop (e.g. 20 seconds in the microwave or more patience). This might not make sense, but since the tight lid is mentioned so often, I thought I'd balance my experience. Now I'm trying lids without saran wrap. Will be updated when important.
