Bought this DB killer in my ongoing saga to help kill Akrapovic exhaust noise on my BMW G310GS. This is a heavy solid piece of steel with a honeycomb pattern throughout the chamber. The outlet is slightly smaller than the inlet 20 inches. I'm hoping that this muffler will smooth out the exhaust flow and the smaller outlet will reduce the velocity of the gases exiting the muffler. It fits snugly over the serrated edge of the muffler that slides over the downpipe. After putting everything back together, I fired up the back end and idled it to around 6000rpm a few times (didn't want to upset my neighbors who play with it for too long). Haven't taken it for a test drive yet, but the annoying rough noise seems to have gone as the revs go up. I'll post an update as soon as I get a chance to drive a few miles with the DB Killer installed. Overall very happy with the fit.
