The product has failed and the customer service has so far left a lot to be desired.

I have only used the inverter a few times since I bought it a few months ago. But there are two problems: First, the included remote control didn't work right out of the box. Secondly, after several uses, the inverter stops working. And their customer service is still terrible. Remote Switch: It comes with the inverter and does not work right out of the box. I contacted the company and asked for a replacement. and I have provided proof of purchase to show I am within the warranty period. But they won't send a new switch until I send them a video of the failed switch. It's a silly and inconvenient policy, not least because even very short video files are too large to email. I made a 12 second video and Outlook refused to send it because the file was too big. I ended up trying to send it straight from my phone and for some reason it worked. I'm waiting for news from the company. Whatever the video tells you about the switch not turning on when the button is pressed? As far as they know, the switch is connected incorrectly or not at all. Of course this is not the case as I had an electrician who really knows his stuff to install inverters and switches. But just from the video where the switch is pressed and nothing happens, you can't tell either way. You shouldn't make customers jump through hoops to get a warranty replacement. If I have problems with the inverter itself, then its past behavior does not bode well. As it turned out, I have no problem with the inverter. Today I tried to use the inverter and it is faulty. I connected a small device directly to the inverter and the device had trouble starting, ran slowly and stumbled when it finally started. The unit works great when plugged into a household outlet and worked flawlessly two or three times before I plugged it into the inverter for the last time. The inverter should handle this with no problem. My past relationship with customer service does not bode well for how the company will handle my warranty claim. Just take a look.

Pros
  • Before purchasing, check the maximum amperage of the intended battery. It is the customer's responsibility to know the characteristics of the battery pack and its compatibility with GoWISE power converters. If not known, we recommend contacting the battery manufacturer.
