I have to admit I've always loved Liberty fabrics and prints. So my love for the drawings in this book was greatly influenced by the use of Liberty prints. I think Marseille medallions and handbag patterns are my favorite designs. I don't often buy sample books so this is a waste for me. I usually buy textbooks. I don't often make blankets from patterns either. So I can't tell you how simple or complex the patterns for a patchwork quilt are. But I did read the instructions for the classic quilted handbag and the zipped tote (my favourite). I plan to make a zippered bag when I find the sheet metal. I think the instructions for the two bags are clear and easy to follow. I also noticed that there is a large community online of people who are making or have made the Marseille Medallion quilt. If you are interested in making one, you will find plenty of other people to share your quilt with. Excellent book.
