I have had several Monoprice TV stands before but this is my first monitor stand. It is very well made and was quite easy to assemble. I have a table with backs and no ledges so I decided to drill a hole. The M8x1.25 screw fits the 5/16 inch hole snugly and tightly. However, since I wanted to place it as close to the back edge of the table as possible, I couldn't use a large hand-tight nut - there wasn't enough clearance (see picture). A quick trip to the hardware store for an appropriately sized nut and lockwasher solved this problem, but it would be nice if they included this hardware in the box. relatively shallow holes for the VESA mounting screws, so I also had to use some random 3/16" nuts I had as improvised standoffs so I could firmly attach the monitor to the plate. However, Monoprice also already supplies two sizes of screws B. a set of washers for each plate, so I think they do well in that regard. Anyway, some monitors come with VESA screws. Those are the only issues I have to complain about and I solved them with parts for less than a dollar from the hardware store (which is more than the spec says) and the other holds the newer 27". Both required some turning the adjustment nut to increase the spring tension but I had no trouble turning it.Ask a friend with stronger hands or relax a bit by twisting it back and forth. The tilt adjuster needs to be like one on most monitors regular screw s to keep them from leaning forward, but that's also easy to do with the included Allen key Note that if you want one of the monitors to be centered on your desk, you'll adjust it slightly off-center have to. But you can get pretty close by tilting both arms to the side like I did. PROS: + Extremely Durable - Overweight and can Mo carry monitors heavier than rated + Professional, understated look + Very stable with desk grommet, only one hole needs to be drilled + Wide range of adjustment options, although in some configurations the monitor arms will extend beyond the back of the desk + Wide range of mounting hardware for a variety of mounting methods+ Simply amazing price - that's over 2x MSRP+ Easy to use cable management with room for 4+ cables per path (I have DP, mini-cable DP, power and 2 USB cables run in one and it is crowded, but it's not hard to put the covers back on) CONS - A bit complicated installation depending on your monitors and desktop - Some hardware that may help with the above issues is not included - No cable going through running the desk if that's a concern (not for me)
