So this was my second failed attempt to find a suitable lightweight tripod for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max that could endure 6 months in the mountains and 2660 miles of hiking. If you're buying this for a small action camera or phone and using it for normal activities like Zoom calls and the occasional photo when you're in a somewhat controlled environment, then for the price this isn't a bad option. The issue isn't so much the quality or design of the tripod as the weight of my large phone and the extremes it will be subjected to. A light breeze is enough to knock it over and I was really hoping that the base would be wide enough to handle my phone's weight, but it's not. As said, using it with a webcam or GoPro isn't a huge issue, but I wouldn't recommend using large phones in unattended environments. I won't lie either, it feels cheap and the flexibility of the plastic doesn't live up to what I consider durable. Honestly I should have known better based on the price but all the positive reviews convinced me otherwise and I was desperate for something.
