I bought a 10ft twin pack. I am very disappointed with the poor protection of this product. These cables hum more than any other cable. This is most noticeable when used to deliver a line level signal to my powered monitors. I switched to a different mic cable and the hum was gone. I then compared this cable to other mic cables for the SM 58 vocal mic. When connected to the mic line, this cable has a very slight but noticeable hum on my very clean speaker and monitor system. Other proprietary cables have no noticeable hum. I was so surprised by this noise that I had to go back and see if it was actually shielded cables, which they say they are. One of my two cables that I bought actually hums worse than the other. This tells me that there are likely some inconsistencies in the manufacturing or assembly process. I think I can use the cables as a backup for live performances. In my opinion, definitely not suitable for the record. I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle of sending it back.
