I take photos and videos and I have a lot of adapters and cables on my desk, so I needed a compact solution. Trick on my 13" Macbook Pro. I plug in 2 SSDs, an SD card, charge my laptop and connect an external monitor through this thing and it retains all the performance while my Macbook charges and keeps the Connection between everything seamless I think it's because it runs on a 15V 2.3A output It loses charge on my 15" Macbook Pro when I have everything plugged in. The max output is 20V at 1.75A so it gets fine when all my devices are plugged in. warm (but not hot) and it loses some power at a rate of maybe 2%-5% per hour which is perfectly acceptable is when you work on a medium sized project for a few hours, in a ssd and sd card, it will keep the existing battery level of the macbook pro 15" and maybe charge it 1%-2% every hour. i would say if you want to use the full setup with macbook it works great with anything including macbook pro 15" 2018.
