Review on πŸ¦… Eagle UI-50-FSG Type I Metal Safety Can with F-15 Funnel, 5 Gallon Capacity for Combustibles - Green, 12-1/2" Width x 13-1/2" Depth by Nate Nelson

It works fine but leaks

Bought this one and not the yellow one because I'm switching between kerosene and diesel for my Topedo heater depending on how expensive it is at the time. The glass is whole but defects were noticed when it arrived. There were very sharp spots where the manufacturer welded the handle to the top. I took them off to avoid cutting myself while holding the gas can and it seems to have worked. The disadvantage of Type I fuel cans is that the plastic funnel is snug but still leaks through the neck. I would have preferred a Type II with a flexible metal spout like the Eagle gas can, but I don't think Eagle or their competitors make them. The good side is no plastic, no smoke and no tipping. To tell what's in the canister, I just put blue tape on the yellow stripe. Remove it when there is diesel fuel in the canister.

Pros
  • Garage and shop
Cons
  • Slightly dented
