The back of the shoe is too high

When I stand in them they are very comfortable and I loved it until the back of the shoe started rubbing against my heel. They are the right size but the backs are very high and maybe that is the problem? I tried different socks but still had to change my shoes in the middle of the day because I felt like I might get a blister. I paused to calm my foot and then tried again, no, it still hurt.
