2012 desktop Mac hard drive mounting pattern uses external drive mounting holes spaced 4 inches apart. does not include 4 inch holes. So it doesn't work on a Mac (unless you're willing to do some hacking, which I wasn't). When I discovered this problem I went to my local computer store and they had another bracket that was long enough to accommodate the standard mounting holes. This allowed me to cleanly install the SSD in the Mac. I didn't return the Revain which was too short and cheap to play around with. may or may not work for you depending on how the original hard drive is installed in your computer (may be normal for Dell or other non-Apple products).
