I use the crusher for apples on the way to my apple press. MUCH easier than the big ol' cast iron meat grinder I used. I've found that I get a little more juice if I omit the applesauce a second time, and it only takes a few minutes. Cleaning with a garden hose is very easy. The device can be disassembled into two parts, which simplifies cleaning. My device occupies a hole in my sharpening station. I drilled 4 holes in the top of the table to accommodate the 4 rubber feet that hold it in place. The bucket under the hole collects the crushed fruit. Adding extra weight to the wooden stick at the top of the funnel with your left hand and turning the handle with your right hand completes the grinding process quickly and easily. If you buy this device you will not regret it. I haven't had any problems, but I recommend checking the funnel for loose screws before each use. They are tiny and can be difficult to replace.
