Review on 🍫 Quest Nutrition High Protein Bars: Fuel Your Quest with 2.12 Ounce Bars, 12 Count Pack by Katie Alvarado

I've been eating Quest bars almost every day for over a year and chocolate chip cookie dough is my favorite. Actually that's all I order more. I look forward to my daily quest panel. I opened my last box and ate my first candy bar and it tasted WRONG. Bad taste, different texture, even looked different. I emailed Quest wondering if I received a bad batch. No response from Quest. I tried another one and it was just as bad. So I decided to do a little research. As it turns out, on 08/26/15 they wrote on their blog that they had changed one of the ingredients. The new ingredient is soluble corn fiber. They say it's "better". Well, it doesn't taste any better. It tastes awful and ruined the best protein bar they make. It took a few days and I even contacted them via live chat but they eventually answered my emails. They cited a production problem as the reason for the bad taste of the bar. Because I had a new box, it was replaced with a box of candy bars that was not part of the "production issue" but also contained the new ingredient. I received a new box and ate the bar. It's still different. However, there appears to have been a production issue as this panel wasn't as bad as the ones that prompted me to email Quest a few. It was BAD - everything - taste, texture, even the look of the bar was wrong. This bar just felt a little off, the texture was pretty much the same and the flavor wasn't that "fake"/bad, but it still wasn't. It has an aftertaste that was never there before and just tastes different. This is not the bar I fell in love with. All in all, the new ingredient turned a bar I loved and spent way too much money on (those are expensive protein bars) into something I hate and won't spend any more money on. Keep in mind! By the way, they did it in all the bars. *** I'm editing this so anyone reading this will know I've been trying to find a replacement for this bar. And I finally found two! Both are pure protein bars with the same characteristics as Quest. First, these are b-up bars. I love chocolate chip cookie dough. Yup Brands B-UP Bars, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, 12 Bars, 2.2 oz Each. I've tried most flavors of their protein bars and they're all very good, but the chocolate chip cookie dough is the best in my opinion. Bars. They're not as good as B-Up bars, but they're good. The best cookies and cream. They have chocolate cookie flavor but I didn't like it.
