Works well for mobile phone transmission!

I bought this device to use with a 1TB portable hard drive so I can transfer photos, videos and files from my Samsung 8 Galaxy mobile phone. It works as expected and I am very satisfied. I plugged the USB-C cable into an outlet to provide power.
