I bought this adapter 11 months ago as a Dell product. A few days ago I couldn't boot my 15z laptop. I took it to a reputable garage to have the problem analyzed. First, they checked the adapter. Instead of outputting 19.5 volts, they found that the replacement adapter output 12 volts when first plugged in, but then the output immediately began to drop to less than 5 volts before they unplugged it. The device still did not start after using an adapter that provided the correct voltage. I hope the drive and/or motherboard is not damaged.
