My son is an avid ant collector and collects queen ants to start his colonies. The queens are kept in test tubes until they lay their eggs and receive a small number of worker ants. He used to keep dozens of test tubes on his counter or in his desk drawer. He can now use this item to hold the tubes with the queens inside, and he can put them all on their side (the tubes cannot be kept upright because the ants need to be able to move). It's much more organized and neat! I gave him several of these in different sized tubes as a Christmas present and he had no idea he needed it or what he wanted until he saw it. He loves too!
