Review on Playful Style for Boys: OshKosh BGosh Boys Sneaker Navy Boys' Sneakers That Rock! by Landon Bandepalli

Nice shoe but difficult to get on feet

The OshKosh B'Gosh Austin toddler sneakers don't require laces or Velcro. It may sound appealing, but the sneaker has a smaller hole, similar to a water shoe, to keep your foot from slipping out. This makes my little one's foot a little heavy in the shoes. These shoes fit him well and I'm still having trouble getting his feet in the holes. The inside of the shoe is really soft and comfortable, but socks should be worn, although Austin sneakers are often seen without socks. The biggest discovery for me is that I would prefer shoes with a tongue or a wider opening to make him feel more comfortable putting them on. He has narrow feet and I can imagine that other parents see it that way too. I love the look of the shoes and so does my toddler. He's happily walking around in it and I'm happy about that. These aren't my favorite shoes for him but I really like that he likes them so much. There were a few strands of elastin that I had to cut out of the inside of the shoe, but other than that they were fine.

Pros
  • Cute. We throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry. Good light summer/spring shoes
Cons
  • Poorly sewn
