We have had this vacuum cleaner for several years. I like the self-cleaning head. does it count The dirt bin is also easier to empty than the Dirt Devils I've bought in the past, although I've had issues with the top of the can separating from the bottom when emptying. When that happens, I have to dive into the trash can to get to the bottom of the canister. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The probe and powerhead are much easier to attach and detach than the DD. And the best? It lasted over 18 months! Of course, I paid more than double for that. However, my daughter gets blisters when she vacuums our artificial oriental carpets. All of the self-regulating vacuums I've owned have also been self-propelled. (Eureka) Definitely not this one! She's not a kid either, she's 27. If I want a self-propelled do I have to have a bagged vacuum? With three furry ones, we'll be bankrupt in less than a year. I only wish someone would make a pet vacuum with features that poor people need and that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
