Review on 🔧 NEIKO PRO 03709B 1/2” Drive Adjustable Click Torque Wrench | SAE 50-250 ft-lb | Chrome Vanadium Steel | 25” Length by Jack Robi

BACKGROUND: I can do (most) maintenance on my cars and was looking for a pair of torque wrenches to add to my toolbox. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on these wrenches since they're only used a couple of times a year, but I also didn't want to risk an overly cheap tool that might not click when needed and cause expensive damage. I chose the Neiko Pro keys because of their relatively low cost, the style of the lock/unlock mechanism, and the fact that they're factory tested (at least they have a sticker on them that says so). Tools I own (casting marks on the head of the ratchet, not treated with "mirror" chrome). I immediately tested the torque wrench in its range and compared it to my existing 1/2" Craftsman wrench whenever possible (40 ft lb to 80 ft lb) and found it to be fairly stable. I would say that initially setting the Neiko Pro 3/8 Wrench to the maximum torque value was very difficult - quite a bit of torque was required. I've run the torque wrench through its adjustment range a few times and after practice it got easier. Overall the tool works as expected and I am happy with the purchase. I would recommend testing the torque wrench at the desired setting (e.g. on the collet nut) to get a feel for the breaking force before proceeding with tightening start the delicate bolts. The other wrench I purchased that was mentioned in this review was the Neiko Pro 1/4 Torque Wrench.
