This is a very special aquarium lamp. I have a 5 gallon tank which is larger than most as it is larger and the light needs to be more powerful. This light is stronger than many of its dimensions. I have a filter hanging inside so I can't get more light unless I buy a new filter and cap. However, the downside to this light source is that both the RGB and white light sources are angled, so I can't get them both to glow without them breaking down. So I have the white part of the light in the middle and the colored part in the back. So keep this in mind when choosing a lamp. Also, it gets a little warm, but it's so compact they can only do so much.
