Doesn’t work as expected.

The first time I tried it, reading went way past 25 seconds and only hit 99.4 which worried me. Second time, it reached 100 after being in over 50 seconds and well into a minute. Still never beeped. I have no idea if this is accurate but it didn’t work as expected.

Comes with an automatic shut-off feature to conserve battery life

Cons

The thermometer may not work well on pets with compromised immune systems

I may have gotten a defective product because thus thermometer never beeps when finished. I''ve left it in my poor dog for about a minute or more waiting for it to beep that it''s ready. I just have to put it in here and count to 30 then hope it''s an accurate temperature. I''ve tried to return it but revain thinks it hasn''t been delivered yet so I have no option to return. Very frustrating
